Thinking Gender: 30th Annual Graduate Student Research Conference

Thinking Gender is an annual public conference highlighting graduate student research on women, sexuality, and gender across all disciplines and historical periods. This year’s conference theme, Sexual Violence as Structural Violence: Feminist Visions of Transformative Justice will focus sexual violence in the context of state and capitalist violence, emphasizing feminist, queer, trans, abolitionist, and intersectional interventions. The conference will feature paper, poster, and roundtable sessions.

This year’s conference keynote panel will be headlined by Mariame Kaba (Project NIA, Barnard College) alongside Emily Thuma (University of Washington-Tacoma) and Mimi Kim (CSU Long Beach) and moderated by Sarah Haley (UCLA).
