About this event

For better than a half-century, Professor Martin Wachs was a leading educator, researcher, and influencer of transportation policy and planning at UCLA, UC Berkeley, and the RAND Corporation. This afternoon event will bring together some of his many former students, colleagues, and friends to reflect on his influence and legacy as a teacher and mentor, as a planning and transportation scholar, as well as his dedication to influencing policy and practice for the better.

Location will either be in the Public Affairs Building or directly across in the Perloff Quad. Attendees will be notified of changes.

Schedule of Events

This event will include a programmed portion with speakers, followed by a reception. If you’re only able to attend the reception, please be sure to let us know by registering for the appropriate ticket.

1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. :: Program

4:30 p.m. – 6 p.m. :: Reception

Health and Safety

In accordance with UCLA health and safety protocols, all attendees will be required to provide a photo ID and either proof of full vaccination status or negative COVID test (3 days for PCR tests and 1 day for antigen tests). These protocols may change to align with the most current campus policy.
